Traveling is always stressful, especially if you are also trying to coordinate your medical care.
Please make every attempt to collect your medical records and any related testing or imaging in advance of scheduling your appointment. We prefer to review your records and any imaging in advance, so we may better determine what additional testing/preparation will be required before or during your visit. Generally, we try to coordinate your consultation, any additional necessary testing, and your surgery all in one trip. Usually this requires only a 3-5 day stay in Denver!
Please review the appropriate checklist below. Our office will do everything we can to help you collect your records and efficiently coordinate any additional required appointments, testing, and/or treatments. We are also happy to assist you with travel information and arrangements.

Hotels and Lodging
Rose Medical Center and the Denver Center for Endocrine Surgery have partnered with several local hotels to provide discounted rates for our out-of-town patients. We usually recommend you stay in Denver for at least two nights after your surgery.
As you plan your travel arrangements we suggest you consider carefully where you choose to stay. Denver hotels can be expensive, but having a clean and comfortable place to stay as you prepare for and recover from surgery is priceless. Many of our prior patients have told us that their accommodations dramatically affected their experience, especially after surgery. Consider that you will be tired, a bit uncomfortable, and maybe even nauseated.
Our office has previewed several hotels near Rose Medical Center and we feel they provide excellent cleanliness and comfort. Don't hesitate to contact the hotel front desk during your stay - they are there to offer you their services!
